Stuart Price – Freelance Automotive Photographer
Stuart Price is an award-winning automotive photographer based in the UK, born in the the home of motor manufacturing – the midlands. With much of the UK’s car industry being centred around Coventry and Birmingham when Stuart was growing up, from a young age he became very passionate about the industry.
Stuart went on to study photography, achieving a National Diploma from Sutton College and a BA Honours in Commercial Photography from Bournemouth’s Arts Institute. It was his automotive photography projects, constructed and exhibited for his degree, that attracted industry attention. This led to Stuart being offered a job in his final year of university at the word’s oldest car magazine, Autocar. Stuart worked at Autocar for seven years, consistently delivering high quality editorial images every single week. He became especially renowned for his location photography – mixing creativity with technical brilliance.
Working for a weekly magazine equipped Stuart with the perfect skill set. He can work to tight deadlines – delivering each and every time – and is experienced in all areas of automotive photography including location, studio, feature, portrait and event.
It is these skills, mixed with Stuart’s passion for the industry and dedication to his job, that led him to be crowned automotive ‘Photographer of the Year’ in 2013. Voted for by industry professionals at the HeadlineAuto awards.
The judges praised the “technical brilliance” of his work that not only “looks excellent on the page of a strong-selling weekly but also transfers to more feature-led work.”
One judge commented on how Stuart has “a great range of skill with studio, static and action shots that would grace any car magazine and PR or Marketing campaign globally.”
